Our Return Philosophy
At Down South Timepieces, we take great care to accurately describe every watch we sell — including its condition, provenance, and any known characteristics. Because of the high-value and personalized nature of luxury timepiece transactions, all sales are generally considered final.
That said, we stand behind what we sell. If something is not right, we want to know, and we will work with you to find a fair resolution within the guidelines below.
Return Window
Return requests must be initiated within 3 days of confirmed receipt of your order. We use carrier tracking to determine the delivery date. Requests made after the 3-day window will not be accepted.
To initiate a return, contact us immediately at info@downsouthtimepieces.com or call 786-973-7015. Do not ship the watch back without first receiving written authorization from us.
Condition Requirements
To be eligible for a return, the watch must be returned in the exact condition in which it was received. This means:
- The watch must be unworn and show no signs of use since delivery
- All original documentation included with the sale (cards, papers, hangtags, receipts) must be returned
- Any original packaging or accessories provided must be returned
- The watch must not have been altered, sized, polished, or serviced after delivery
Watches returned in a different condition than received — or missing documentation — may not be accepted, or may be subject to a restocking or reconditioning fee at our discretion.
How to Initiate a Return
- Contact us within 3 days of delivery at info@downsouthtimepieces.com or 786-973-7015.
- Describe the reason for your return request. We may ask for photos or additional information.
- Wait for written return authorization from our team. Do not ship the watch until you have received this authorization.
- Ship the watch using a fully insured, signature-required service. We recommend FedEx or UPS. You are responsible for the cost of return shipping and for ensuring the watch is adequately insured during transit.
- Once we receive and inspect the returned watch, we will process your refund or exchange within a reasonable timeframe.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction. Refund timelines depend on the payment method:
- Wire transfer — typically 2 to 5 business days after approval
- Zelle — typically within 1 to 2 business days after approval
- Cash (in-person) — at the time of the in-person return, by appointment
Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is the result of an error on our part (e.g., we shipped the wrong watch).
Non-Returnable Items
The following are not eligible for return:
- Watches where the 3-day return window has passed
- Watches that have been worn, altered, resized, or serviced after delivery
- Watches purchased for service or repair (service fees are non-refundable once work has been authorized and completed)
- Parts and accessories
- Special-order or sourced watches, unless the watch does not match the agreed-upon description
